Elliott Houston is a man of many talents. Songwriter, lyricist, poet, producer, musician, social engineer, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, to a musical family...he is a classically trained guitarist, who began his musical studies on the piano, with the fabled teacher, Naomi Carrier, at the young age of 6. He began playing the guitar at 8 years old, studying with some of Houston's most legendary guitarists and musicians. Continuing his professional education, Elliott graduated from Houston's High School For the Performing & Visual Arts in 2010, and subsequently, in 2014, earned a BFA in Music Performance from the historic HBCU, Huston-Tillotson University, located in Austin, Texas...the live music capital of the world. Initially interested in making a career as a full-time jazz and rhythm & blues musician, the attraction of the mic was too powerful to ignore. He is now focusing his extensive musical knowledge and abilities on his most beloved musical genres of rap and hip-hop. The debut of his first mixtape, "Screw Jack City," is the culmination of a long time dream, and the beginning of a new musical journey. Elliott Houston began writing and performing rap at the age of 12, and spent most of his teenage years dedicating himself to perfecting his craft as a lyricist. Influenced by some of the greats of the genre, including 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G., Scarface, Ice Cube, and Nas, he is setting his sights on a career as illustrious as the greats that he admires. #BeSomeone
